Imprint Where does nature end and man begin? When man leaves a mark how does it transform a place? From ancient petroglyphs to contemporary graffiti, humans have always marked their environment. Such marks mediate the relationship between nature and humanity, ultimately revealing a connection that our modern lives too often overlook. My approach to these marks is that of an environmental portraitist, and my hope is they will tell a story about who we are, what we believe, where we come from, and given in moderation, even become harmonious and beautiful. We are compelled to leave our imprint.
